Backflows on Broadway is a NYSDOH approved specialized training school dedicated to backflow prevention certification and renewal education for water professionals, plumbers, inspectors, and facility operators. Our mission is to protect public drinking water supplies by providing clear, practical, and regulation-aligned instruction that prepares students for real-world application—not just the exam.

  We offer comprehensive initial certification & refresher/renewal courses designed to meet state and local requirements, with a strong emphasis on cross-connection control principles, device operation, testing procedures, and regulatory compliance. Our classes combine classroom instruction with hands-on learning to ensure students leave confident, competent, and job-ready.

What sets Backflows on Broadway apart is our instructor-led approach, real-world experience, and commitment to clarity. Our lead instructor, Mario Argentina, has over 20 years of experience in backflow testing, backflow management programs, and water systems operations. 

He breaks down complex hydraulic concepts, testing protocols, and code requirements into straightforward, easy-to-understand instruction—whether you’re new to backflow prevention or maintaining your certification.
